British Royal Artillery General Service Cap

WW2 British Royal Artillery General Service Cap. Made in Glasgow in 1945. The 'Cap, General Service' was first introduced under 'Army Council Instruction 1407' of September 1943 and this cap was designed to replace the 'Field Service cap' that had been worn since the outbreak of war. These caps are getting harder to find. Very nice example in very good condition!

Britse 'Royal Artillery' baret (General Service Cap). Geproduceerd in Glasgow in 1945. Dit type baret 'Cap, General Service' werd ingevoerd bij een leger order: 'Army Council Instruction 1407' in september 1943 en deze baret moest het veldmutsje (Field Service Cap) vervangen welke sinds de uitbraak van de oorlog gedragen werd. Deze baretten zijn steeds moeilijker te vinden. Mooi exemplaar in erg goede staat!
