Zeltbahn 31

M31 Shelter Quarter (Zeltbahn 31). The shelter quarter served buttoned together to form a four-man tent (or larger), it could also be worn as a poncho to give protection against rain, and it served as camouflage during a battle. It is made of tightly woven cotton drill with the "splitter pattern" camouflage, which showed light colors on one side and dark colors on the other. Example in nice but much used condition. It has some holes and spots caused by usage. Most of the buttons are present. Nicely marked and dated 1944! Nice example.

Duits Tentzeil (Zeltbahn 31). Het Duitse tentzeil was bedoeld om met 4 personen een tent voor 4 personen te vormen. Andere functies waren het gebruik als poncho tegen de regen of als camouflage tijdens een gevecht. Het tentzeil is standaard uitrusting van gewoven katoen in de standaard splinter camouflage. Lichte kleuren aan de ene zijde en donkere kleuren op de andere. Dit exemplaar bevindt zich in goede staat. Het heeft een paar scheutjes en vlekken, door veldgebruik. Verder helemaal goed, bijna alle knopen zijn aanwezig. Mooi gestempeld en 1944 gedateerd! Mooi tentzeil.
