Wehrmacht (Heer) Rubberized Gascape Pouch (Gasplane Tasche). The shoulder sling of the gas mask was put through two loops at the rear of the pouch, and the pouch was worn on the chest. This method proved not to be very practical. During the war a frequent way of wear was to fasten the pouch around the gas mask canister. The grey coloured rubberized canvas pouch is nicely maker marked and dated 1940, it is 'WaA' marked as well. Nice original pouch in good used condition!
