Japanese Patriotic 'Off to War' Banner. Send-off parades were organized for soldiers on their way to the local railway station by community organizations, with the participants carrying banners "nobori", suspended from vertical poles, each with the name of a specific recruit to them. White linen banner, there is missing a part on the bottom. Example has some stains and is in used condition but will make a nice display. Japanse patriottische 'Naar de Oorlog' Banner/vlag. Er werden parades georganiseerd om de soldaten die naar het front moesten uit te zwaaien op hun weg naar het lokale spoorwegstation. De deelnemers van de parade droegen banners "nobori" aan palen met daarop de naam van een soldaat (recruit). Wit linnen banner, onderaan ontbreekt een deel wat eraf gescheurd is. Er zitten vlekken op en de banner is gebruikt, mooi item voor een display!
