The cleanliness of the German soldier was considered of enough importance by the Army High Command that personal hygiene items were either issued or available at reduced cost at military garrison canteens. Some of the personal hygiene items available included, foot powders, combs, shaving gear, soaps and more. Allthough these types of items were readily attainable it seems most of the personnel preferred to use their own personal, private purchase, hygiene items. This is a tan bar of body soap. One side of the soap has embossed logo and 'Elephant Brand', the other side 'Absolutely Pure Laundry Soap, Made in Germany'. The soap is fully intact and never issued directly from the original box. Nice personal Kit item!

De hygiëne van de Duitse soldaat was voor het Duitse legerbevel van groot belang, daarom waren persoonlijke verzorgingsitems beschikbaar (dan wel tegen gereduceerd tarief) bij de militaire foeriers. Dit waren items zoals scheerspullen, een kam, zeep, voetpoeder en veel meer. Hoewel deze items beschikbaar waren bij het leger kozen veel soldaten voor het gebruik van hun eigen privé aangekochte spullen. Dit is een zandkleurig zeepblok. Eén kant heeft in reliëf  het logo en 'Elephant Brand', de andere kant 'Absolutely Pure Laundry Soap, Made in Germany'. De zeep is nooit gebruikt en komt rechtstreeks uit de originele fabrieksverpakking, mint. Mooi persoonlijk hygiëne item!
