RAD officers Sleeve Badge '293'

RAD ('Reichsarbeitsdienst') sleeve badge, 'Dienststellenabzeichen'. These badges were worn on the left sleeve of the mustard coloured RAD tunics. The badge is neatly executed in so-called 'flat-wire'' BeVo weave technique and was intended for an officer within the 'Group 293'. The badge is neatly maker-marked and displays the interwoven 'Ges.Gesch.' make often found on RAD badges. The ends show some normal fraying. This badge originates from a small collection of RAD cloth badges, RAD Officers' badges are comparatively scarce! Nice item in good condition!
