US M-1938 Dispatch Case

US M-1938 Canvas Dispatch Case. Standard issue map and document case. The special carrying strap, with shoulder pad, is hooked on two rings located on the back. The case has two large compartments, as well as some small pockets for pencils, erasers and other tools. The case is complete with the often missing plastic insert with red grid lines for use with military maps. The mapcase is maker marked with 'BOYT' and dated 1942. Very nice example in perfect condition!

US M-1938 Canvas Dispatch Case (kaartentas). Standaard uitrusting, kaarten en documenten tas. De speciale draagriem, met schouderpad, is aan twee ringen op de achterkant gehaakt. De tas heeft twee grote vakken, en ook verschillende kleine vakjes voor potloden, gummetjes etc. De tas is compleet met de vaak ontbrekende plastic kaartenhouder met rode raster lijnen voor gebruik met militaire stafkaarten. Erg mooie tas in perfecte staat!
