World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is maker marked with a 'WILM' indicating production by the company of 'H.R. Wilm' in Berlin. The cross is complete with its original 14cms long sized ribbon having a small two-piece ribbon bar attached as found together. Nice original WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class in good condition!
